GridBank pricing vs Bejana: what a UGC clip really costs
By Bejana·· 8 min read
Sticker price is the least useful number in stock footage. A $19/month plan and a $990/quarter plan are not comparable until you know how many downloads each one gives you, how many of those downloads end up in a live ad, and whether the license survives the campaign.
This page does two things. It walks through the math that actually matters — cost per shipped clip — and it gives you an interactive calculator so you can run your own numbers instead of trusting a comparison article, including this one.
Why price per clip misleads you
Most comparisons divide plan price by download allowance and stop there. That number is generous to every platform, because nobody ships every clip they download. Editors download ten options, cut three, and run one. The rest sit unused in a folder.
The number that survives contact with your finance team is different: what did you pay, and how many clips actually went live in an ad you were billed for? That is cost per shipped clip, and it is the only figure that lets you compare a monthly plan with a quarterly one.
The cost-per-shipped-clip formula
Cost per shipped clip = total plan cost for the period ÷ clips that actually ran in a live ad during that period.
Two supporting numbers are worth tracking alongside it:
- Cost per download = plan cost ÷ downloads included. This is the sticker number, useful only as a ceiling.
- Utilisation = clips used ÷ downloads included. Below about 30% and you are paying for shelf space, not footage.
A worked example: a $990 quarter with 120 downloads where 18 clips ship works out to $55 per shipped clip. A $57 quarter (three months of Bejana Creator at $19) with 45 downloads where 18 clips ship is $3.17 per shipped clip. Same campaign output, different order of magnitude in cost.

GridBank's plans as listed on its pricing page
Here is what GridBank's own pricing page states, checked October 2026. We are quoting rather than paraphrasing because these details change:
- The Full Library plan is listed at $990 per quarter with 120 downloads.
- That plan is listed with “Paid Social Rights”.
- “Perpetual Usage Rights” are listed only on the Agency plan.
- A promotional code shown on the page (GB100) brings the quarterly price to $890, so the effective range is $890–$990 per quarter.
Source: gridbank.io/pricing, as of October 2026. Those figures may change — always check the live page before you budget.
You may see third-party sites quoting different download counts for the same GridBank plan. We do not repeat those numbers here, because GridBank's own page is the only figure we can stand behind — open GridBank's pricing page and check it yourself before you budget.
Bejana's plans
| Bejana plan | Monthly | Annual | Downloads included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creator | $19/mo | $149/yr | 15 clips / month |
| Pro | $39/mo | $299/yr | 40 clips / month |
| Studio | $79/mo | $699/yr | 100 clips / month, 3 seats |
All three plans include the same usage rights — paid, organic and client work — so the difference is volume and seats, not what you are allowed to do with the footage. Current plan detail lives on the pricing page.
Usage rights and commitment compared
| Bejana | GridBank | |
|---|---|---|
| Commitment | Monthly or annual, cancel anytime | Quarterly on the Full Library plan (per gridbank.io/pricing) |
| Paid social | Every plan | “Paid Social Rights” on the Full Library plan (per gridbank.io/pricing) |
| Perpetual rights | Every download, every plan | “Perpetual Usage Rights” listed on the Agency plan (per gridbank.io/pricing) |
| Unused downloads | Roll over while subscribed | Check current terms with GridBank |
The commitment line is the one that quietly decides campaigns. A quarterly plan is not a problem if your quarter is funded. It is a problem when you need one clip for one test in week two and the next invoice is 12 weeks away.
What to do with this
Pull last quarter's numbers: what you paid, how many downloads you used, how many clips actually shipped. Run them through the calculator. If utilisation is under a third, the plan size is wrong for you — not the platform. If you want the full side-by-side, see Bejana vs GridBank or the GridBank alternative page.
